eQ Homes Attends 2023 International Builders Show!

Earlier this year, members of the eQ Homes team attended the International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Every year the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) hosts the largest construction show in the world where nearly 70,000 home building professionals from around the globe come together to share ideas. The IBS exhibit space totaled more than 600,000 net square feet, where more than 1,300 exhibitors displayed the latest in building products and technology.

IBS is an amazing opportunity for our team to see hundreds of new products and services and speak directly to leading manufacturers and suppliers in the industry. What better place to learn from the pros through various education sessions, workshops, and demos to discover the hottest innovative tips from industry experts. Attending the show helps us gain knowledge and grow, and to learn from peer professionals who are as passionate about the home industry as we are.

“We attend the International Builders Show to live to our values. We must be innovative and challenge the status quo. We actively empower one another to bring forward new ideas. We value education and training as an organization, and we invest in our team – that’s when you see real change” says Senior Vice-President, Josh Kardish.

Here are some of our take-aways from the show this year:

1. Meeting homeowner expectations through innovative means of engagement in a digital age is important. That’s why we’re in the process of launching self-guided model home tours!

2. We want to partner with and support Canadian-owned businesses. At IBS we connected with Proslat, and can’t wait to introduce their amazing products to our eQ Homes garage spaces, maximizing use of space both inside and outside the home.

3. As a company dedicated to embracing diversity, that includes generational diversity and understanding the different communication and work styles of individuals from different age groups. Understanding the unique strengths of each generation will help us be a better employer and provide stellar customer service to everyone we serve.

4. Lastly, we are always seeking out ways to advance energy efficiency in our homes, and innovative products to help us build better homes. This year’s trip to IBS didn’t disappoint and we came back with many new ideas!

Creating an exceptional experience for our homeowners is important to us. We look forward to seeing these trends implemented in our eQ homes! Visit one of our Sales Offices today to learn more about all that eQ Homes has to offer.
